This celebration and blessing of a fifteen-year-old girl takes place on the first, second, or third Saturday of the month at 2pm or
the fourth or fifth Saturday at 12pm or 2pm. It is also possible to have the celebration on a Friday at 4pm or 6pm. The requested
donation for the ceremony is $300. Arrangements for music and decorations are not made through St. Simon but are the responsibility
of the family.
To celebrate a quinceaņera in the context of a Mass with Holy Communion, the fifteen-year-old should
have received all three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation). If she has not yet received all three
Sacraments, the quinceaņera will be celebrated with a service that does not include Communion but has all the traditional prayers
and blessings. To arrange to celebrate a quinceaņera, the parents need to come to the office, fill out a contract, and leave a $100
deposit for the ceremony.
